The City of Peterborough A47 Leicester Road, Wansford. Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2023.
Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as A47 Leicester Road, Wansford as lies between Old Leicester Road and Old North Road.
The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: A47 Leicester Rd, A43 Stamford Rd, A1 Great North Rd, A1621 Main St, A1 Great North Rd and vice versa.
The proposed order will come into force on the 01/04/2023 and will continue until the highway maintenance works have been completed or until the 31/03/2024, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between the 01/04/2023 and the 03/04/2023.
