A very special envelope came through my letterbox on Saturday, 1 April 2023 addressed to Wansford Parish Council embossed with the Buckingham Palace coat of arms. On opening the envelope (very carefully, I might add, with a sharp knife) I found a card which has been sent to the people of Wansford from King Charles III in response to Wansford Parish Council’s letter of condolence to him and the Royal Family, and which was sent on behalf of the people of Wansford, on the sad death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. You will see the wording of the card in the attached photograph. For your interest, you will be pleased to know that Buckingham Palace despatch their mail by second class post!
